Come behind-the-scenes with members of our 7 North team on the latest Lakeland Active photo shoot in Ullswater, Lake District.
Our team have been busy preparing, not just one, but TWO, new Lakeland Active products ready for launch this Summer. The new Coniston Ultra-Breathable Clogs and the Waterside Water-Resistant Pouch. Plus, we've even added more colour options to popular Silloth Ventilated Clogs, giving our customers even more choices for their summer adventures.
All we needed now was some 'summer' lifestyle content of these products in action...
The first step was to find our photographer - and we knew just the Northerner to call! Lou Wilcock, who has done some epic work with us in the past, was top of our list. Next, we had to lock in a location and date.
We knew both of our new products would shine in a Lake District setting! Our customers love using our ventilated clogs for holidays/water activities (they are perfect for gripping slippery surfaces and protecting feet from rocky shores). Plus, our Waterside Water-Resistant Pouches were designed for keeping small accessories safe by the water.
Now, you have to be optimistic (or, slightly mad) to book a summer photo shoot in late April/May in the UK...but that's exactly what we did! We found ourselves somewhat obsessed with checking the weather forecast day-to-day, knowing that our fate lay in the hands of the Lakeland micro-climate.

We were so grateful to be able to use The Outward Bound Trust's private jetty, which we've been fortunate to shoot at before. The perfect location for water, beachy and rocky shores!
Phil, the Ullswater Site Manager, took great care of us, popping down the hill throughout the day with proper Cumbrian brews and biscuits (what a legend!). Reality vs. the Final Shot Our favourite part of the shoot process is comparing the behind-the-scenes images to the final shots. It’s amazing to see the transformation and the magic that happens through the lens!
